SKATEPARK
CONSTRUCTED 2025
BONNERWORTH PARK SKATEPARK
CITY OF PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO, CANADA
In September of 2024, through a competitive bidding process Drop In Skateparks was the awarded as one of five certified contractors for the Bonnerworth Park Skatepark expansion project in the City of Peterborough, Ontario. In February, 2025, our firm was selected above the other contractors as the preferred proponent to construct the expansion skatepark. Along with the existing West49 Skatepark, the expansion skatepark grew the total skateable space from 8,400 square feet to 17,000 square feet. The official opening of the new skatepark was July 3, 2025.
The newly expanded cast-in-place concrete skatepark offers a much-needed space tailored for beginner riders and those seeking a more relaxed skate session. Designed with entry-level features and ample room to learn and practice, the park encourages skill development in a welcoming environment. Key elements include a diverse range of bank ramps—each with unique touches like a raised ledge and a popped rounded curb—a large quarter pipe, multiple grind boxes, and two impressive fifty-foot pagoda ledges. Riders can also enjoy a kicker gap jump, a dynamic bank-to-bank combo with an integrated grind box and rainbow hubba ledge, plus a variety of steel rails to explore and experiment with.
