Through a competitive bidding process Drop In Skateparks was the selected as the preferred skatepark firm for the Trick Lane Skatepark expansion project in the the Town of Labrador City, Newfoundland & Labrador. The customer's project goal was for the awarded skatepark firm to deliver a state-of-the-art skatepark expansion that integrates seamlessly with the existing modular skatepark facility. The results?
The Trick Lane Skatepark is a cutting-edge expansion that harmoniously complements the existing modular facility, designed with a strong focus on inclusivity, safety, durability, and skill progression. Spanning over 18,000 square feet, this dynamic and accessible space offers a wide range of features for skaters of all levels.
A standout element is the subtly integrated spade feature, paying tribute to the town’s rich mining heritage. The park also boasts a distinctive double-tier butterfly bowl, grand amphitheatre-style steps, and a variety of rails and manual pads thoughtfully distributed throughout the layout—ensuring there’s something for everyone, from beginners to seasoned riders.
